In the heart of Mumbai, nestled in Lokhandwala, Kandivali, stands Vishwas NGO—a beacon of hope for those fighting cancer. Founded in 2001 by the compassionate Suresh Agarwal, Vishwas was born from a simple yet powerful belief: no one should battle cancer alone.

For over two decades, Vishwas has been a safe haven for cancer patients and their families, offering them free accommodation during treatment. Beyond providing a roof over their heads, we extend care, dignity, and emotional support, ensuring that every patient finds solace in a challenging journey.

Our Mission: Beyond Medicine, Beyond Treatment

Cancer is more than a medical battle—it is an emotional, financial, and mental struggle. Many patients travel from distant towns to Mumbai for treatment at Hinduja and TATA Memorial hospitals, often with no place to stay. Vishwas steps in as their extended family, providing a home away from home.

But we go beyond just shelter. Our mission extends to spreading awareness, fostering community initiatives, and bringing people together to make a tangible impact. Through our blood donation camps, cancer detection drives, and fundraising events, we stand strong with those in their toughest battles.

Our Journey of Impact

Over the years, Vishwas has undertaken numerous initiatives to support and uplift cancer patients:

Yearly Cancer Detection Camps – Early detection saves lives, and our regular camps ensure that more people have access to life-saving screenings.

• Annual Cancer Day Event – Every year, we celebrate World Cancer Day with an evening of live celebrity performances, honoring doctors, patients, and survivors who inspire us with their resilience.

• Regular Blood Donation Camps – Many cancer patients, especially those undergoing chemotherapy, rely on timely blood transfusions. Our camps bridge this critical gap, providing life-saving support.

• COVID-19 Relief Efforts – During the pandemic, Vishwas stepped up to serve over 500 families, ensuring that those in need had food, medicines, and support. Our founder, Suresh Agarwal, personally donated platelets over 25 times, embodying the spirit of selflessness.

• Honoring Corona Warriors – In April 2021, we organized the Vishwas Awards Night, recognizing frontline warriors who went above and beyond to protect our communities.

• Empowering Underprivileged Girls – Our commitment to social welfare extends beyond cancer care. Vishwas has proudly organized “Saamuhik Vivah” (group marriages) for 21 tribal girls, ensuring they start their new journeys with dignity and support.
